I am heading to Dahab, Egypt to do my Divemaster course.
Whilst I am on a budget, I don't want to spend more than £250- 275 on a decent BCD.

My wants are:

  • integrated weights
  • double tank strap (two straps for one tank, better security)
  • pockets (for digicam?)
  • d rings and air dumps all over would be a bonus

OH, and if it's really light that woudl be a bonus too as the weight allowance from UK to Egypt is only 20Kgs!

I would love your recommendations please.

Thanks.:blinking:

Think you are going to have to up that price bud!!

My choices, Oceanic Wolf, Seaquest LX in standard BC's. BP/w deep outdoors or dive rite

Thanks for the tips. I'm not sure Zeagle is available as a brand in the UK. Never seen that brand anywhere.

Sherwood Avid. Double strap, good pockets, great weight integration system. Get the 2004 model it's still being sold and it's cheaper.

Cheers.

Diverite and Oxycheq both make nice combos that may work for you. Not sure if you have access to them in the UK at decent prices. I know www.diveriteexpress.com sells international. Hope this helps.

Just my opinion: Study the subject more and reconsider what you want...

not sure if it is still an option for ya but you are basically describing a Zeagle Stilleto or brigand, but I don't think Scubatoys can send their stuff overseas.

Oh sure we can. We ship overseas every day. Australia, England, Spain... you name it. We even get a pretty good deal on overnight delivery with UPS. A Zeagle Brigade getting over there would probably run in the $60 price range - but we'd need a full address to nail the shipping exactly.
