PADI AOW requires you to choose 5 specialties including deep and navigation, and I don't think Nitrox can be one of them.
Yes, Nitrox can be one of the five Adventure Dives, but it is a kind of a waste since you have no in-water skills, and you have to do the specialty anyway to get the Nitrox card.
