I was wondering where to take new divers to do there certification dives in northern Flordia. I was thinking Vortex Springs but would also like to have some options.

Thanks

I did my first three cert dives at Alexander Springs (about as much like a swimming pool you can get and still be considered "open water", max around 25'), did my last at Troy Springs (basically a 70' hole in the ground, viz can drop to about 5ft if there are a bunch of people kicking up the bottom but other wise a decent place for a cert dive)... both are in parks so they are fairly inexpensive, i did mine in January so it wasn't very crowded but i am sure they get packed in the summer...

The jetties at Panama City but you will need to watch the tide tables.
