Hi I have a Canon Sure shot Z135 and would like to find out if i can get a housing for it. Rather than having to buy a new camera.

Cheers

I have a fexible plastic housing I use for snorkelling with my digital camera. :)

Examples of its use are the photos on the right-hand column of

(very underdeveloped new site I'm messing around with. At the moment, it just holds my U/W holiday snaps)

The housing is supposedly good for 10 meters depth.

It's got a glass front, so use of the onboard flash causes heavy reflection and makes the flash switch off too soon because the camera thinks it's had enough light. This causes the subject to be underexposed.

But if you use your camera near the surface and switch off the flash, you'll be alright with one of these types of housing, and they are quite cheap too. I paid 40 GBP (~$60) for mine.

Check 'em out at...

I know this is not relevant to your question, but the downside I found with using a digital camera to photograph fish was the time delay between pressing the shutter release and actual recording of the shot. :(

So I just bought myself a second-hand MX10 to play with on my next trip.

Have a look at turtlesarehere.com. Making a successful camera housing isn't that difficult.
