where to go for my bday in december

Thinking about doing a dive trip for my 30th this year. I have 12/15-12/19 off. I live in central NC, and I'm guessing my coast is going to be a tad to chilly to dive at lol.

so I'm thinking maybe FL somewhere. would like to do driving distance to help keep costs down, unless I could score cheapo airplane tickets. I would love to go to an all inclusive type dive resort like the ones I've read about in the islands, etc. But I would be find hitting up nice spots and just getting a regular hotel room. I'm new to diving, 15 dives so far, and I haven't gotten my advanced yet, hopefully soon.

oh, and I'm ballin' on a budget... lol


any ideas?

Drive to Key Largo. I drive from Philly area to Morehead, so central NC to Largo should be doable. If you drive, no car rental, do what you want (topside stuff...dining, etc.), and a hotel in the reasonable costs.

It all depends on the airfare.

You can dive 24/7 in Bonaire for a full week for $130 give or take.
Two - two tank trips out in Key Largo will be more than that.

Coco view on Roatan, Honduras will be around $2,000 with airfare - it's summer camp for divers!

Have you considered a cruise. I hate to recommend one - but depending on your budget and how much you really want to dive - that might be the best bang for your dollar.
