I have the "mandatory" mini-tank o-ring kit, and I see a lot of o-ring replacement kits with a variety of sizes in them. But it always seems to be the o-ring where the regulator attaches to the tank valve that fails. I'd like to get a batch of just those o-rings to take on dives. Are all tank valve o-rings the same size, or is there at least a "most common" one?

We buy mass quantities for 1st stage to tank valve connections for my dive shop. I suggest you go to a shop that has at least 40 or 50 rental tanks and and ask them to sell you a handfull to you.

If you're renting at different places, I can see it would be a little more complicated. For my own tanks as well as my BC o-rings, I've asked the shop for specific o-rings for my equipment, plus some common ones.

Depends on if the tanks have std k valves or are the convertible ones. The convertible ones use a different size. I just checked and the convertibles I have use a 111 and the k valves an 014 and I 'd advise since it is a high pressure connection to use 90 duro o rings.

I tend to buy the mass quantities of 50 or 100 at MCMASTER CARR for less than most seller get for 5-10. You can then become a hero to your friends since you can afford to spread the wealth around.

Where to buy them: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/ecatalog/N-1z0hm8g/Ntt-.014+o-ring|Dash+number+14+oring?Ndr=textsearchesinbase%2Btrue&sst=All]Search .014 o-ring - Grainger Industrial Supply[/url]100/$5.25. If this search shows more than one result - check the .014 box on the left. Grainger's are nationwide.

Thanks, I'm going to order those.

Great idea. I'm going to hand them out at our OW check out dives.
