My LDS is sponsoring a trip to the Tawali Resort in Pap New Guinea. The price does not include air fare. Where exactly should I book my airfare to within PNG?

thanks!

Port Moresby ( the capital) where you will get your visa

From the web site (www.tawali.com)

Port Moresby is the capital city of PNG and also the International Airport. Qantas and Air Niugini both have daily flights from Australia to Port Moresby. There are also weekly flights from Singapore, Manila, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Check with your local travel agent for flight details and fares from your country of departure.
From Port Moresby there is daily service to Gurney airport in Alotau , Milne Bay Province.

Once in Alotau, guests will be picked up and escorted to Tawali resort by bus and boat. Reaching Tawali takes about a hour and fifteen minutes by bus and boat transport.

Just don't try and catch the last domestic flight of the day. Flights are OK, but not 100% regular, if you know what I mean. Also, arriving in to a location you are not familiar with at night in PNG isn't the best idea.

Did you get to Tawali? How was it? My husband and I are going there next month (also doing Nimrod Explorer out of Cairns then on to NZ for fly fishing). Any information will be appreciated!
