I have been looking for dive buddy in the midlands area to increase dive count and experience, am currently at aow with 2 specs desparate to continue diving any ideas best way to find localised divers:)

You may want to head for your local subforum and post about buddies -- I believe there is also a UK-local board called Yorkshire Divers, where you might be able to get some information, as well. (Don't shoot me if it's the wrong board -- I'm not a UK person, just know the board exists and is full of UK folks!)

In addition to what Lynn suggested check with your local dive shop to see if they organize group dives (eg "wet Wednesdays"), check to see if there's a local BSAC chapter, check the "buddy finder" here (not sure if it covers the UK).

You'll find that most divers are sociable by nature and are happy to have newer divers gain experience.

Good luck!

Not sure what's available in the UK. We have a publication here in California called CA Diving News. It's a local paper regarding local dive sites and diving news. In the back there is an ad section with listings of local dive clubs. Your dive shop may be able to point you in the right direction.

I found a buddy by putting my name with others on a bullitin board at the shop.

Yup!

post some "dive buddy" ads in a dive centre or shop in the area. Also you can post in the "buddy finder" in the scubaboard menu. Also if your a Padi certified you can search in their website. There is a new dive buddy search available.

Have fun!!!
