Hello everyone. My problem is that i would like to pursue my dive master training, but i live in canada 4 hours away from the nearest body of water. I have my normal diver certification.

I am unsure if it is a good idea for me to travel to a warmer country and get a job working at a dive center while working on my dive master designation. Are there any countries that might be better then others when looking for somewhere to learn to be a dive master? What kind of actions would you recommend i could take towards pursuing a career in diving?

Any feedback is appreciated.

Shadow, i should have said not at all instead of fluently :). But if it is a language derived from latin i would definatly not disclude the possibility where i would learn the language enough to communicate.

Someday I want to do my DM and instructors on Koh Tao,Thailand. Thailand is pretty cheap, and basically the entire island is devoted to diving (its not a tiny island either). It would actually work out cheaper for me to fly over there and do the training than do it locally.

Try Bay Island College of Diving (BICD) on Utila, Honduras. I was there last year and they are known for inexpensive training. Even have a Deco Chamber on the property. You can contact them through www.utilalodge.com By the way, everyone speaks english.

Are there any locations nearby that i might be able to find a job to pay for lodging? Im looking for somewhere that i can get a job while i train.
