Where can I dive from my doorstep?

I'm looking for places, other than Bonaire, where you can dive directly from the property. I'm not looking for big resorts. Preferrably a house or a small condo complex. I'm open to all parts of the world. Any suggestions?

Great diving just offshore from several condos or rental houses on Grand Cayman.

Only difficulty is that a house or small condo complex may not have a compressor for refilling tanks. You may still need to hump tanks to/from a dive shop.

Sipadan has small resorts, great shore diving. Nothing to do but dive, really, and drink beer on the deck each night.

It's nothing fancy, but the Seaview Hotel in Grand Cayman has some interesting reefs right off the property. Dive shop on the property. And it's cheap - for GC, that is.
