Where and When/Dive Calendar

As I research for a July dive trip, I realize that, as a new diver, I am in need of a “dive calendar”. This calendar will describe best time to visit a location and maybe changing marine life and dive conditions of a site at a different time. Based on my limited experience, I would mark September as a month NOT to visit the Bahamas because of the high risk of hurricanes. I was on New Providence during the first week of this past September. As much as I loved the warm water, the visibility was miserable. On the November month, I would give Fiji high marks. I was in Fiji during the last week of November, the trip turned out to be wonderful.
What are some of your favorite time and place combinations?

You probably have not received a response because no one knows where to finds this or there is not one.

I have never seen one in my five years of dive and dive travel.

I give Hawaii high marks in March and April for best viz and best weather.

Generally speaking, the Pacific Northwest is the best during the winter months, Dec - Jan, but not this year. We have been enduring the colder water and even colder topside temps but not getting the benefit of better viz due to all the storms and rain.

Come visit us anyway. We can still enjoy our diving by braille.

No kidding, normally the vis is way better this time of year. 10 feet is good right now. Generally we can get up to 50 feet and sometimes better during december and january, but visit us next year

March seems to be the month to dive in alot of places. A dive calendar would be terrific. Not only indicating vis info but when to go to see certain animals:
August - Sipadan for loads of turtles (haven't done this yet)
March - Thailand, Maldives for good vis (some friends did a liveaboard over xmas in Thailand (similans) and they said it was the best diving they have done others dove that same time frame but on day trips from Kho Lak and said it wasn't that great. Both gave details of vis but I can't remember).
Philippines - northern water still chilly from xmas thru feb. Okay vis. Will go again in Feb to more southern location and will see.
Australia - GBR great during Dec but only if you go on a liveaboard - only way to get out to decent corals

That's all I'm familiar with - I live in Asia so this is where I have been diving lately.
I have heard that there is a great book out called Diving the World. This is supposed to cover this type of info. Will get it on my next trip back to the states.
