Hello all,

I'm planning a permanent relocation to Southeast Asia and was wondering what route you folks would recommend as a 'dream tour' of the Western Pacific. Will be starting in Hawaii

I have nothing but time and can spend it anywhere I like. Would like to keep any air flights under 10 hours if possible. There's no limit to my diving experience or finances -- after all this Dream Tour !

Lets dream together....

Pacific dream equals Palau. Make sure to include Palau in your tour.

Just need to decide whether to do Palau before or after Truk!

A little known but highly interesting site in Hawaii leaves from Maui for Mokuho Oniki Rock. They usually see hammerheads there alongside a healthy dose of dolphins, whales, and other sharks.

I'd also add Galapagos and Cocos to the list.

I don't know about constructing an itinerary, but if a tour of the Pacific didn't include Rangiroa, it would be far the poorer for it. Rangiroa was probably the single most magical place I have dived to date, that wasn't in a cave . . .

Thanks you all for the interesting ideas, always fantasized about Palau and Truk and now I'm seriously thinking about working in that direction -- at your direction.

Never even heard about Wakatobi, it looks amazing and the location is probably it's salvation. The only sad thing is I probably won't be able to make a life there because of Indonesias strict expat laws. Of all I've been reviewing, that seems the Hidden Jem.
