What's wrong with velcro?

Is there any reason not to use a little velcro to secure
corrigated hose to shoulder strap? Its the last floppy thing.............well, never mind.

I've had velcro last 7 or 8 yrs. on BC's then I just sew a new piece on when it needs to be replaced It's 1 dollar a foot at the fabric store.

It works well in Kentucky...But I'm sure velcro will get Blasted to pieces in this place.

alternatively you could use a loop of bungee cord. don't lose sleep over it. the scuba industry usually tests novelties in kentucky and apparently most divers survived the introduction of velcro.

Halcyon DIR pockets are eqipped with Velcro covers, so, I guess it's ok... beat the zippers anyday!

Velcro can loose a lot of it's "hook-and-loop" strength when exposed to sand and similar substances. For that reason you should be careful in using Velcro in critical applications and sandy environments.

For keeping a corrugated hose in position it is very well suited and I have been doing that for 13 years without a problem.

Dang. I thought i thunk it up. Does the bungie function as a retractor, or is it like stuffing the hose under your strap? Thanks.
