So everyone says these Oly cameras are great.

What's the significant differences between the old and new models and why is it important?

For comparison to other cameras, what features on the Oly are important?

No essay required, just a simple list.

Thanks for your help

Unfortunately, essays have already been written about this topic :). See here and here. If you do a search for C5050 vs C5060 you'll find lots of threads.
I think the most significant difference between the two with respect to UW photography is the ability to add a wet wide angle adaptor underwater with the C5050/PT-015 combination. The C5050 has a 'brighter' lens (1.8) but the C5060 a wider lens. The C5060 also uses proprietary battery pack.
As to comparing the Olympus range with another brand I think the biggest advantage is the large user support for UW photography available on web, like this excellent forum. Other considerations: availability of a housing, especially a cheap one; availability of accessories (wide angle and macro adaptors, strobes); battery life; short minimum focus distance for macro work; minimum shutterlag; and full manual control.

Yeah...what he said :lol3:

You can do a handy side by side comparison HERE
