Long time lurker, looking for suggestions for an epic trip!

My partner and I have been diving for about 20 years, and we've got some time together in December for a trip. We've been lucky enough to do a bunch of diving through the California coast, Mexico (including Socorro and cave training in Tulum), Costa Rica, Hawaii, several Caribbean sites, Thailand, Mozambique, Indonesia (Raja Ampat), Palau, and a little in Iceland and Norway. We are both PADI Rescue, GUE Cave I.

The hitch is... he's looking for something "different." I could stare at fish forever, but he's looking for a unique learning, megafauna or wreck experience. (For example, he dove a flooded nuclear missle silo in Washington state several years ago and it was one of his favorite dives.)

On our radar is:
-Going back to Tulum and doing more of the gorgeous caves there. A good challenge though a little harder than what I'm personally hoping for.
-Truk for wrecks (though limited to recreational depths)
-Hawaii for blackwater diving and Ni'ihau day trips

So, if you could go anywhere and do anything for two or so weeks... where would you go? Thanks!

That's an impressive list. I had a blast in Galapagos (megafauna and mega currents) but it might be ho-hum by your standards.

Could be combined with some Amazon/Atacama travel if you have never done that.

Great Lakes shipwrecks never get old. Whitefish Point was always a fav for its wrecked wooden ships. The "better" Great Lakes wrecks are deeper, and the water is cold, so extended range training and drysuit training would scratch that itch for "unique learning." With proper training, diving air with accelerated oxygen deco gets you to wrecks in the 165 ffw range relatively easily, safely.

How about TX Flower Gardens and the nearby oil platforms?

How about participating on an U/W archaeological dig?
