I'm thinking about taking a year or so out and working as a DM somewhere tropical (already have my DM qualification and some leading/teaching experience). Given the importance of language skills in the job and that I speak English and Dutch I guess the Netherlands Antillies would be an obvious choice.

I'm looking for advice from those who have done this about how to go about finding a job (is it possible before travelling, or do you simply have to arrive on the islands and start looking). How easy is it to find accomodation, etc. Do you make enough to cover living expenses and have the occasional beer? Does anyone even know whether you need a special permit to work in the Antillies, or do they fall under the EU as Dutch territories?

Any advice and pointers gratefully received...
