whats coming after canon S90 / S95 ?

Yes, it is the S95. Next year is a, hmmm, year away, you will have to wait and see.
Step ups from S series, depending upon what you consider a step up to be, could be a step down in fact:
Oly ELP-1 - Olympus housing
Panasonic GH-1 - Inon housing
Fuji X100 - new camera, no housing yet if ever
Sony Nex - Nautica and Aquatica
Canon T2i dSLR -Nautica, Aquatica, Ikelite, S&S
My reviews:
Oly ELP-1, to many buttons, God awful slow, no optical vf, expensive lenses
Panasonic GH-1, no optical vf, God awful slow, limited housings and expensive lenses
Fuji X100, where the Hades did this come from, amazing camera, probably no housings
Sony Nex, plastic, plastic, plastic, no optical vf, cool snap on lenses and interchangeable lenses
Canon T2i, well, I bought a T1i and it quit working, to many buttons, to many menus, s-l-o-w

Marmagi: As both of those models were introduced late in the summer of their respective model years, I wouldn't expect anything new anytime soon. As far as what will be added, Canon is generally fairly tight lipped.
