I have been away from night diving for several years and was wondering what improvements have been made to the big bright light market. I formerly used a UK 800 rechargeable with 30 watt bulb and loved the massive amount of white light we got from it. My question is this. What is available now that is smaller, lighter [luggage weight restrictions], and just as bright. Any posts or comments are appreciated. I am not sure I want to spend the money on new battery packs for the UK light if there is something better. Scott

This light appears to be a bargain
Amazon.com: Dorcy 41-1467 6AAA-Battery 180-Lumen LED Super Flux Dive Light: Sports & Outdoors

Another to look at is the UK Super Q rechargeable.
