Some southwest style seasonings then deep fried (no batter) mmmmmmm yummy

Nahhh, grilled with garlic butter. I fry the fish.

That's not what we call a Spanish Lobster. We call that a Shovel-nose, Bulldozier, or
Slipper Lobster. The lobster we call a Spanish Lobster is Panulirus guttatus, it
looks like the Spiny Lobster Panulirus argus, but it's smaller and has more spots.

Walter,

First of all: I do not question your expertise and am open to any correction.

My sources:
The name "Spanish Lobster" is given in the reef creatures book by Paul Human to a Scyllarides sp. and the book of Nancy Sefton & Steven Webster does the same. They call spiny lobsters as Panulirus sp.

The smaller spiny lobster with the spots we call here a Rock Lobster. Human names it as "Spotted Spiny Lobster, also commonly known as the Spanish Lobster".
This may create confusion.

K.
