Hey everyone, a topic on "what motivates you to dive" came up between a bunch of us here. Divers just get so stoked on diving that they forget why they do it.

There are tons of reasons why people dive, just think about it for a minute and let us know.

Why we keep diving:

Adventure, adrenaline, exploring and reaching new limits.

:D Hearing why other people dive is interesting, lets hear yours :D

lots of reasons, personally.....but one sticks out above all others...it's the abiliyto be an explorer..it's the closest you can get in modern time to being a Chris Columbus or John Glenn wtihout actually going into space..most folks only see this stuff on National Geographic/Discovery Channel and the likes...it's kind of cool to know that you have a leg up on the other folks standing around the water cooler on Monday morning

I keep hoping that, if I do it enough, I'll get good at it . . .

Under water world is paradise....
Motivation!
New dive site, new dive equipments
explorer, expedition challenge your self to next deep depth,

1. Challange; mentally and physically
2. Community
3. Exploration
4. Jessica Alba :D

Thrill of experiencing almost zero gravity, outer space exploration is out of bounds so inner space is the next bext thing to do, observing marine species, sharing dive experiences with buddies, chance of improving myself with each new dive and training and hoping someday to get instructor rating to teach diving

A combination of what andydiver06 and TSandM said - it's the feeling of weightlessness, excitement and the ability to develop skills and challenge myself to become better in the enjoyment of the underwater world.

Aloha, Tim

Because I´m never gonna find that treasure if I quit diving now.

That and just about every time is a new adventure in an alien worrld. Either that or it´s just plain relaxing
