At Boynton Beach reefs, on the sand next to the ledge at about 55 ft. Did not seem to be attached. Rather large, maybe 1.5 ft across. A large jellyfish? But I could not ID.

Looks like maybe an Upside-Down Jellyfish.

Looks like maybe an Upside-Down Jellyfish.
They are kinda brownish and, probably, do not grow that big.

Here is another photo.

That is definitely not a Cassiopeia. I handle those things all the time. Cassiopeia does not get anywhere near that large, and the external morphology is very different. I don't think it is a Chrysaora either. While I don't interact with those so much, they have a simpler "undercarriage" and a more distinctive bell.

What you have is a larger scyphozoan, possibly a Drymonema or Cyanea. Given the location and the appearance, I'd lean towards a Drymonema. But I rarely see either of these jellies, so I could be wrong.

I dared not to touch it but it deed not seem attached. Yes, you may be right.
