i see the term in this forum, and in magazines... i know what it means here (California), but i don't think it is the same there(Indonesia)..
can anyone help?

The name Muck Diving comes from the quality of the sea bottom, usually muddy/mucky.
It is common to find small "critters" when muck diving, and is very popular with photographers.

Some good critter dives may be had in Kunkungan Bay, Indonesia, and at Observation Point and Lavadi (aka Dinah's Beach) in Milne Bay, PNG.

At first glance the bottom looks boring, that is until you creep along and explore! Highly enjoyable and rewarding.

"Frogfish" and parts of "Komodo Interlude 1" are shot in the muck. It's the gray substrate the animals are walking on.
