Is this a fish or just a coral structure. I see a mouth, gill line, an eye, a dorsal ridge and a tail. It looks like a rock or scorpion fish. This was taken last week in 10-15 foot water off of the Windym Fortuna in Freeport Bahamas.

From what little i can see, it looks like a stone fish, have u got a better quality photo of it?

It was after two days of rain and the water was very murky and full of sand, so I am afraid not. I think you are correct.

If it is a stonefish they are very difficult to see at the best of times, so kudos to you

I might be looking at something different then you all.. I see a Great Dane =) I removed some color noise, white balanced the image, and then did a selective contrast increase around the 'dog' to make it more visible.. and cropped the image...
(hope you don't mind.. was trying to figure out what I saw.. <grin> )

Am I on crack?

Take care,

Lost: One Great Dane, last seen in the presense of poisonous fish, believe to be puppy-naped for induction into a cult of undersea beasts shunning the surface... Unfortunately, my poor puppy doesn't have his C-card yet.. please help him

Aw yes! The elusive Great Dane Fish...that clears it up!
