On this day of days, or before this day of days, I have to go outside the box, and say I'm thankful for Scubaboard!

I just went red and donated $40 to a cause that I love, Scubaboard. Thanks to SB I'm a better diver. Thanks to SB I am shooting a wedding in January in Coz, I've dove with wonderful people in New Mexico, I've met wonderful divers in Colorado, and I'm now part CUPS (CO underwater photography society).

I've met and dove with great folk in FL for the past two years, including Marvel, Jenny, Renee, Howarde, Walter, Brent whom was my first deep wreck buddy, and many many more. I know people all over the world that welcome me with open arms (I think :11: ) like MikeV, Catherine, Kristin, and so many more. I find SB to be such a great resource for every type of diver. I try to give back with info on photography, bu t it IMO is never enough.

K, I'm kissing WAY too many ASSES here, but seriously, I've dove with Pete, and he is a very fine guy, so I am entitled to Kiss a bit of tail for something I enjoy so much.

Thank you all for SB, and I would encourage you to go red as that is really what will help make this work even more. As a cheap *** programmer, I rarely pay for software, and rarely support online sites, But IMO SB is a HUGE exception. I have
REALLY benefited from this board, and this it the ONLY online site I truely miss if it goes down. That is saying a lot as i've been on the net for a long long time.

Here's to you, Mister Scuba Board System Administrator Dude! :coffee:

I'll second that about the SB and the knowledge and enjoyment I have received......Go Red!!!!

Thank you Net Doc. And thank you to my late parents who taught me to love water instead of fearing it.

Not to make light of your post, but I am hearing the Budweiser 'real men of genius' music in my head as I read this line.

Happy Thanksgiving anyway!

I dove today with do it easy, who I met through SB. I spent a weekend in Monterey in October with people I first met through SB. On that trip, I also got to spend time with HBDiveGirl, who I got to know through SB. I spent a stunningly beautiful day diving in the San Juans in early October with OE2X and Uncle Pug, who I met through SB. Joining us on that trip was NWGratefulDiver, my mentor and friend and a big part of the reason I love diving as much as I do, and I met him through SB.

When I wanted a canister light, I asked questions about it on SB, and got good answers. When we were going to Indonesia, I looked up reports on the resorts we were visiting on SB. When I wanted to plan a Caribbean trip for a group of friends, I contacted people on SB who I knew had experience in the places I was considering, to ask for advice.

And when I decided I was going to get cave trained, I wrote to a number of people on SB who had no obligation at all to give me advice or any of their time, and every one of them wrote back with good information and encouragement.

This board is an enormous resource, and there are some incredible people who give of their time and their knowledge to make it that way.

I try to give back where I can!
