From my husband . . . a gift certificate for a "doubles mini" -- a one day class on managing double tanks. And a beautiful collage of his photographs of me diving.

From my regular dive buddy . . . what I asked for; a training dive. We did very successful air-share drills, and I actually managed to shoot a bag and remember to look UP before letting go of it, and do an ascent in five foot stops while reeling in the line. In fact, we had two ascents which were done in reasonably good order.

From the universe . . . a super gift. I forgot my undergarment. Yes, that was the gift . . . I had lots of redundant fleece in my dive bag, because my dry suit has leaked so much that I always have layers of warm, dry stuff for after. So I layered a bunch of it in order to make the dive, and guess what? It gave me the range of motion I needed to get a valve drill done. So now I know -- the day of my Fundies checkout dive, I need to wear fleece and put up with being cold :)

Happy birthday Lynne.

That's something else we have in common. My birthday is this week too. I hope I get some nice presents because I'm turning 40 and it feels like being forced to walk the plank!
