Awhile back I posted about my friend Skye who beat the odds and survived cancer. I wrote about the firefighters from station 3 who went to her hospital room and did a dance for her.
Well, Jeff was the firefighter I actually contacted to ask for the favor (he got to pick the ice cream flavor
). Anyhow, a couple weeks ago Jeff was burned fighting a house fire. He's been in the hospital for treatment and skin grafts.
So - I called Skye and told her of Jeff's predicament. Skye disguised herself as a bag lady and went for a visit (see pics). I visited Jeff again yesterday and asked him if he'd been visited by a bag lady. He got all excited and said it's been driving him nuts 'cause he knew he should know this woman but couldn't figure out who it was.
After getting permission from Skye, I told him who it was - he was pretty blown away and was thrilled that she had done what she did. Skye was thrilled to have done it as well
Jeff got to go home today and is glad to be back with his family, though he's still pretty much laid up in bed.
