sis they use air and just bring lots of extra cylinders? I thought they had to go deeper than 20’ so it couldn’t be oxygen, right?
 
It has been reported by a USAF Pararescueman that was on-site that the tanks were filled to 80% O2.
 
I heard 100% O2 but it could be because reporters and lay people in general think all divers use “oxygen” at any depth.

80%, 100% is very hard to get in that part of the world. Most nitrox is made with PSA machines that are only capable of producing up to 95% O2, with most of it being below 90%
