What do you do with your pole cam mounted gopro when you need both hands?

looking for mount ideas. So far I'm thinking securing it somehow on the chest, mounted North/South.
 
My thought has been to slide my pole down along side my BC inflator hose, as on my knighthawk BC, there is ample room for a pole between the inflator/hose and the velcro loop that holds them in place. The velcro loop can be loosed a bit as well to make it easier to slide it in or out as well.

I was thinking there as I think it affords the best protection for the camera/lens. if it is allowed to dangle in a north south position, then you could easily scratch a lens with your other gear I think.
