What diameter string to tie 5/8” slings?


I’m seeing 2 diameters for the string 1.mm 1.7mm


Which diameter is preferred for 5/8" rubber and why?STB

I don't fell like replying but ...

I use and have used for many many years the same roll of nylon fishing line
When tied off
1) burn ends with heat source
2) coat threads with nail polish
3) Last 30 years I have been using heat activated blue shrink wrap to create a cosmetic appearance

No self respecting California fish would want to be speared by sear gun that had ugly slings
Not so certain about the southern fish

Maybe Dano @mako Spear guns will have a supply of line for you ??
