Hi,

I bought a Canon S1 recently. I am new in photography (both above and under water). When I was reviewing the specification for the camera (http://www.canon.com.sg/index.cfm?fuseaction=digitalcamera&prod_type=powershotS1IS_specs)
I couldn't understand the reference to a "W" and "T". :06:

For example, it says
Focal Length (35mm film equivalent) : 5.8 (W) - 58.0 (T) mm (35mm film equivalent: 38(W) - 380(T)mm)

What do the W and T mean?

Thanks...

Thanks :)

er, another dumb question... does it mean that there are two lenses inside the camera? :06:

No, it's just a zoom lens - the lens groups inside the lens move in/out to give the wide or telephoto effect.
