I want to get a new flash for my Canon SLR camera, when i search online, i find this Canon Speedlite 270EX Flash, what do you think of it?

It is a nice, small, easy to travel with flash. Not a high power model or real quick recharging. I own one and like it.
It is certainly an upgrade from the onboard flash.

If you don't want to spend a lot but need decent recycling times and good exposure rate I would recommend the 430EXII. I've been using for a year and I love it.

Is this for land or for housing? On land it is OK but a bit underpowered. If for housing I don't know of any way to house one. I agree that the sppedlite 430 is a nice flash, so are the equivalent ones from Sigma.
