no this isn't an account of pakman's latest adventures...
but the inquirer's front page story and (very nicely lain-out photo) shows a whaleshark sighting in palawan's Puerto Princesa Bay!!! This isn't a fluke (pardon the pun) sighting as reports say it's been on the increase very recently... and Ivan (owner/operator of Dos Palmas) said he has been seeing whalesharks in Honda Bay for some time now but has kept it a secret to keep the planeloads away...

Just wanted to share with you our amazaing sighting of
a whale shark over at Mainit School last weekend!
(Saturday August 11 12:30PM) Present during the dive
were Dencio, Bobot, Gordos, Lara, Jo, and me! Our
amazing experience interacting with this magnificent
creature lasted about 30 mins! It was truly an
experience of a lifetime!
