Join me on the Dive Damai 2 from July 8 - 19 2012 for a great adventure from Sorong traveling north around Raja Ampat and into Cendrawasih Bay which is Indonesia's newest top diving location. Cendrawasih Bay is home to a resident population of Whale Sharks that come to the surface each morning to feed on fish scraps from the local fishermen. During this charter I will be conducting a photo seminar/workshop between dives and showing a series of photo and video presentations in the evenings, there is no extra charge for this workshop. One of the hallmarks of a photography workshop with Mike Veitch is actual hands on tuition Underwater as well as during the presentations. Unlike other professional photographers who lead photography tours and workshops, Mike will actually dive without his camera and use a slate instead. During each dive Mike will partner with one person per dive and help that person to achieve exactly what he or she wants on that dive. Whether its help with strobe placement, fstops, or just a bit of modeling fun, you are on a trip with Mike to learn from him, not for him to take photos for himself!
The Dive Damai 2 is the newest ship in the Damai fleet and will be launched in Sept of 2011. Continuing the tradition of the Dive Damai 1, the ship offers a boutique diving experience where everything is included in the charter price, including nitrox, massage service, beer and wine; there are no hidden costs such as park fees or fuel surcharges. The service on the boats are the best in the business by far. With a maximum of 8 guests on board and 4 dive guides, each buddy pair will have their own dive guide and the best thing is, no time limits on the dives under normal circumstances!
