It seems every year between Juna nad September, Whale Sharks congregate in the waters off the NE Yucatan where the Caribbean meets the Gulf of Mexico. These plankton rich waters are murky making underwater photogrphy tricky but it draws these majetic animals and allows us to see them up close while they feed.

We took a tour from Cancun and were lucky enough to come across a large group of 50 or so sharks feeding just off Isla Mujeres in relatively clear water. I highly recomend this to anyone in the area when the sharks are there.

Here are some shots.
Enjoy
Rodrigo

Wow, you had much better water than when we went in 2007. It was horribly murky and only about 13' vis.. It felt like I was diving in a texas lake and the pictures looked like it also.

Your pictures are very nice!
