Just depends how you dive. Obviously there is a difference.....but,,, I find a 7/6 not worth the effort and I dive dry. So long as air/surface temps are between the 75-90 degree mark and bottom temp is no lower than 55, I'll dive my 5/4. If the environment is any more extreme than that Ill dive dry. Maybe I'm lucky but I kept my eyes pealed on ebay and found a good deal on a drysuit so I have this option.

This may seem extreme too some and mild to others. Just depends on your diving: environment, habits, and tendency to get cold.

I find a 7/6 bulky on the surface and extremely buoyant.
