I take two 1 mil suits for tropical sites, if I get cold I can double up. Two one mils pack better and weigh less that my 3mil.

water temps are between 77 and 79 F. up along the west end of the island, I've been wearing my 1 mil skin and 3/2 mil shorty to stay warm

Was in Curacao last week. The water was 79F at depth every day. I was comfortable in a 3 mil. My girlfriend wore a 5 mil and was also comfortable (she tends to cold easy).
