Looking at picking up a 7mm suit from a friend, this suit was purchased over 8 years ago. The suit has only seen about 15 dives and was very well maintained/cleaned. It has been stored indoors, out of the sun, and looks to be in very good shape. I was just wondering if the age alone could have any serious ill-effects on the neoprene. I will be using the suit for free diving/spearfishing in New England, and also for surf fishing at night, so the suit doesn't have to be perfect. I'm basically curious as to if the suit may have lost some ability to keep you warm just based on age.
