wet suit hangers

just have a question I just got my two piece farmer john and I am getting ready to hang it on the closeline in the basement. I dont have any hangers yet I think I am getting them for XMAS so I didnt want to buy any yet. Is it ok until then to just hang them on regular hangers??

We have plastic hangers for our regular ones and I simply taped 3 of them together for our wetsuits. I wouldn't hang a wetsuit on a wire hanger...too thin.

I agree with DiveMaven, I use a plastic hanger that is normally used for suits to hang my farmerjohn on. It has wide upper arms and is built heavy enough to handle the weight.

I use heavy hangers and then cover them with a section of "pool noodle" which has a hole in the center (and a little duct tape)

well I mean JUst until christmas is it ok to hang them on a thinner plastic hanger basically a regular clothes hanger or what should i do??

laying them flat is best or use the widest hangers you have. Normal hangers will not be good for the FJ

I wrapped some foam water line insulation around a plastic hanger and they've served us well for over a year now. It gives about a two inch thickness for the wetsuit to rest against.

yeah i took three clothes hangers plastic and put electrical tape all around them and then 1 wroll of masking tape they are about 2.5 - 3.0 inches now I think that will work fine

Sure, why not? As you said, it's only temporary. Right now I have just two regular plastic hangers working together until I can get something else too.

One of my wetsuit hangers is about the size of 3 normal plastic hangers put togethor, so just do that until xmas.

My other wetsuit hanger is alot wider and rounder... hopefully thats the kind you'll be getting.
