Hi, I am new to Australia, and have never been diving here. I am doing a work visa here and probably will travel the West over the next 3-7 months- working along the way. I have my dive gear with me, and would love to do some dives.

The question is where, and how. I do not have a live aboard in my budget. I am a divemaster, and would love to find buddies or clubs or whatever.

Is the diving good around Freo? Albany? Exmouth (day trip)?

A little advice to point me in the direction would be great.
Or just to meet some divers, and expirences in Australia

Cheers!!

There's plenty of diving available around Fremantle/Rottnest Island. Furhter south the diving is good at Busselton (HMAS Swan wreck and Busselton Jetty in Particular) and Albany. The diving here in Exmouth is excellent and mostly done as day trips.

You can get a lot more information and chances to meet and dive with WA divers on the WA Divers web site:
