I just got my WP-DC6, in the manual, it recommends 3 weights, however are they absolutely needed? How hard is it to take pictures without the weights?

thats a relief, does anyone know of a good site or link that has some pointers for a beginner like myself?

For me it's a PITA having my camera floating up while I am not using it but there is an easy and cheap solution to this problem...

Go to a tyre repair shop and ask for those weights they use to keep a tyre "Balanced"...

These weights should come for free, are flat and made of soft lead so you can easily drill a hole in the center of it and then use a SS bolt to keep them attached to the housing...
