just out of curiousity what is your opinion for weight systems. I am lucky enough to have 2 dive rigs.
Drysuit and cold water diving.
1) single cyl. with 30# soft-weight integrated BC and a 3# attached to the cylinder.
2) twin cyl. with a 10# V-weight between the cyl's and a 2 1/2# bullet on either side of me on the waiststrap.
My dilemma is I want to change the single BC (from Seaquest Raider to a Halcyon Eclipse) to match my twin BC ( Halcyon Explorer) in configuration and inflator without any hesitation as to which am I diving. I am considering a DUI over the shoulder weight system but am also thinking of a conventional weight belt.
With the twins and the weight behind me it is like a turtle on its back trying to turn over once fins are removed. so I need to find something that I can change weights from one setup to another. Is it a pain to change bullets from the strap & keepers on a conventional weight belt?
If I go with the Eclipse I have a choice of the SS backplate(6#) with a weighted (additional 6#) or non weighted single tank adapter.so I would have to add or subtract bullets or weight in general from the DUI system.
any thoughts and opinions are welcomed.
