I'm fortunate I only need 12lbs (6/6) to give me a good buoyancy balance. I have an OLD BC from sea elite that doesn't have the quick release I need. I would like to retrofit some sort of quick release on this BCD. There are some pockets UNDER the top layer of pocket on the BCD. I tried diving my hard weights (I have a friend about to sell me 28lbs @ $1/lb WOOT!) on the inside and it worked great. The only problem is the opening on these pockets is to the rear. They are deep and when inflated I can't get them out reaching in. I have a lot of webbing (I make weapons slings as a side job) and I plan on putting "handles" on the hard weights until I can find some sort of external mounting method that is economical.

I thought I would query the hive mind. Does anyone know of a retrofit method for mounting pockets on a standard jacket BCD. Just buying a new one is out as my 15yoa has decided to start diving (on my dime of course) and I need to be thrifty. TIA.
