weekend trip to belize... question

Hey folks.. some of my buddies @ the dive shop where I work and myself are planning a quick trip to belize in the coming weeks.. Since we are in Cancun, we would be driving to belize.. now keep in mind, we're not loaded with $$ (after all, we're DM's or instructors -not much $$ in that here), so I was wondering if anybody could give me some pointers as to hotels (cheaper the better - mainland probably), dive operations (preferably if they trek out to the blue hole), and anything else you can think of. I would really appreciate any input any of y'all can provide...

drop a line to paul: carnellsquash@aol.com, hes from the british forces in belize and a keen diver, he ll be able to point you in a good direction for cheap dive op and hotels.
i think hes still down there?, havent spoke to him in a while!
