Hello

Could anyone suggest a good website for marine life identification- one that not only features fish but also marine invertebrates? I think there are many books on this topic but I was wondering if the information is also availble on the net.

Thanks!

Hi CLA,
For fishes, I usually use FishBase (fishbase.org). For others I usually use books. Some friends say Coral Realm (coralrealm.com) is good, but you have to be a registered user to avail of all their services.

Where in Palawan are you? Was able to work in the Culion-Coron area and the Dumaran area for a couple of years and did some diving there...

Thanks everyone.

Was beginning to wonder when someone would reply to this thread. Im sure a lot of us will find the sites extremely useful.

Now I don't have to label my pics as nudi1, nudi2, purple nudi....

This is "THE" definitive web site for sea slugs/nudi's.

Whatever you muck divers do bookmark this page. I have been running a competition with my wife for two years now (Sea Slug ID) and this is the rulle book to use. Hey, if she says it's gospel....there ya have it. Keep 50 bar....always.
