I'm in my third season with my current harness webbing, and its starting to look a little threadbare. Plus, its a snug fit ever since I switched over to diving dry (and gained a few lbs, hehe). Eitherway, I'd like to replace it. My current webbing is weight belt style... ie stiff and impossible to fine-tune keeper placement for D-rings. A buddy of mine dives with Halcyon webbing, and it seemed quite flexible (and crazy simple to adjust a keeper). I also noticed diverite sells stiff, soft and mil-spec.
What type of webbing do you use, and why? I'm definitely looking to go softer... but is there a tradeoff?
And as a side question, I was thinking of putting bike tubing at the bends of the plate... maybe it would reduce the chafe against the webbing and help it last longer?
