I am booked for a cruise this winter & wonder if they will allow me to wear my dive knife on cruise ship excursion dives? (I always wear one in case I get tangled in fising line, etc)

Some cruise ships are very particular about that - they take the knife when you arrive, and then you have to get it when you leave to go diving. Think about bringing a pair of EMT scissors instead - might be less of a hassle.

Did a Carnival cruise in May. I kept my BCD mounted knife packed in my dive bag. Did 2 dive excursions in 2 ports and they didn't say a thing even after X-raying my gear bag.

Why not give your cruise line a call and ask? With whom are you going?
