Sunday night we are sitting in briefing joking about everyone on shift being a diver. Three are on the team and one isn’t.
One of the swing shift guys drives by the Hauser Boat Ramp and sees a boat trying to launch a truck.
They manage to get it and the Deputy drives him home.
Then right after briefing two of us roll on an accident in the same area but roughly about a mile away. It was a Honda Civic trying to date a tree.
The driver fled but it didn’t take us long to figure out that the driver was the son of the guy in the lake. He was not injured except for the drunk vs airbag rash.
It was a good laugh for us. What luck for one family.
