has anyone tried one of these? the feature list doesn't seem terrible even if it is limited to one gas and 100m max depth.

Does anyone have an idea of how the deco algorithm runs, say compared to PZ+ or with a chosen GF high?

Not really, see Cyano Dive Computer by Watoom I couldn't have said it better myself. As I have said before, this is probably more similar to PZ+, or the algorithm that runs on the Deepblu Cosmiq
