I am looking to buy a camera and a housing for it. I am new to underwater photography but I am looking for a easy to use digital camera underwater as well as on land.

What I need it for:

- Waterproof without housing (preferably) for snorkelling or around the pool/beach.
- Shockproof (to a minimum- I can be clumsy sometimes).
- Housing needs to go up to 150 ft. (no need for more)

Note, I do not do any night diving. And my budget is very limited. I was looking at the olympus + housing or the Sealife dc1000 but the costs add up fast.

Any suggestions/ comments?

I have a Canon PS A570 IS with Ikelite housing I have been using for a while. I am looking to move up to a DSLR camera.

I have the Ikelite box and all the books that came with the camera and housing for $450.00. The housing even has the adjustment ball that allows for attachment of a strobe (When you can afford to purchase that one)...

Here are a couple pictures taken recently with the camera
Standard (automatic) settings (and set for underwater)
No strobe
