Water temps in central Cali?

I am moving back to California soon and was wondering what are the water temps in the monterey and central Cali area. And what are the recomended exposure suits? I only have have a 3mm full suit since i have only been diving in GTMO. I assume that i will need a thicker one...am i assuming correct? thanks

I was in Monterey about 2 weeks ago where we did a couple of dives. The first dive was the Metridium field where the water temp was 54F. Our second dive took place along the wall of the pier in Breakwater and the reading for that dive was 52F.

I dive with a 6.5mm suite and that is warm enough for me. However I don't tend to get cold that easy, so you might want to consider something a little thicker or going with a dry suit.
